Finance Data Analyst
Join Sekoia as Finance Data Analyst: turn complex financial data into trusted insights, improve reporting and automation, and help leaders make smarter decisions — Paris, Rennes, or remote.
Sekoia is an AI-native SOC platform combining next-generation SIEM, SOAR, and Cyber Threat Intelligence. Following a €26M Series B in 2025, we are scaling the company and preparing for the next stages of our development.
As Finance Data Analyst, you will turn fragmented financial and corporate data into reliable information for decision-making. Reporting to the Head of Finance and working closely with Data Engineering, you will act as the bridge between Finance and technical teams.
You will map data sources, clarify definitions, investigate discrepancies, and structure the datasets and reporting needed for financial and corporate steering. You will work hands-on with the available data without owning the data lake or every integration end-to-end. Your role will be to challenge data quality and assumptions, document what is missing, and help Finance and leadership rely on consistent and actionable information.
In this evolving environment, you will bring structure while keeping a practical focus on delivering useful analysis, reporting, and automation.
Systems in scope:
Your scope will cover data from the main systems used for financial, commercial, operational, and corporate steering:
Data: Metabase (you will be the owner of the tool)
Finance and planning: Pennylane, Agicap, Pigment (you will be the owner of the data in the tool), and Excel
Revenue and CRM: HubSpot and Younium
People and expenses: Lucca, SILAE, Navan, and TeamTailor (ATS - recruitment tool)
Cloud and infrastructure: AWS, Azure, and OVH billing data
You will work with Data Engineering and the relevant system owners to connect, transform, document, reconcile, and improve the accessibility of this data.
Your missions:
1. Map and structure Finance data
Map the systems, data sources, owners, definitions, and flows used for financial and corporate steering.
Identify gaps, inconsistencies, duplications, and reconciliation issues between sources.
Define the data requirements for monthly closing, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.
Clarify the definitions and calculation rules for key metrics such as revenue, ARR, NRR, headcount, payroll cost, COGS, cash, and spend.
Maintain a prioritised backlog of data needs and improvement opportunities with Finance and Data Engineering.
2. Turn data into reliable analysis
Explore and model data from the data lake and connected business systems.
Build consistent, documented, and reusable Finance and corporate datasets.
Reconcile data across accounting, billing, RevOps, HR, payroll, cash management, and spend-management systems.
Produce recurring analyses and reporting to support Finance and leadership decision-making.
Build dashboards and self-service views when the underlying data is sufficiently reliable.
Support budget-versus-actuals analysis, variance analysis, cash monitoring, headcount planning, and SaaS metrics analysis.
3. Improve data quality and automate reporting
Work with Data Engineering and system owners to complete missing data sources, transformations, and quality checks.
Automate recurring analyses, reconciliations, and reporting where this creates clear value.
Contribute to data quality monitoring, documentation, and governance for Finance-related data.
Document data lineage, metric definitions, business rules, and known limitations.
Prepare reliable datasets for forecasting, anomaly detection, and future AI use cases.
Handle HR, payroll, and other sensitive data with a high level of confidentiality and rigour.
You will work closely with the Head of Finance, Data Engineering, the RevOps Manager, the FinOps Manager, and other data owners across the company to align definitions, clarify responsibilities, and make Finance data more reliable and accessible.
📍 The position is ideally based in Paris, but can also be based in Rennes, or fully remote from Europe. Professional trips paid for by the company might be required.
